Through appropriate heat treatment, 1.2767 can achieve high hardness levels, usually in the range of 52-58 HRC.It possesses good toughness, making it suitable for applications where impact resistance is required.While not as high as some other tool steels, 1.2767 still offers good wear resistance, particularly in combination with its toughness.This steel is commonly used in the manufacture of cold work tools and dies, such as punches, shear blades, and cutting tools. It is also used in applications where resistance to chipping and cracking is important.Typical heat treatment involves quenching and tempering to achieve the desired hardness and mechanical properties.
