The 201J1 stainless steel is a type of austenitic chromium-nickel-manganese stainless steel1. It was developed to conserve nickel and is a lower-cost alternative to conventional Cr-Ni stainless steels such as 301 and 3041. The carbon content of 201J1 stainless steel is slightly higher than that of 201J4, and the content of copper is lower than that of 201J42. Its processing performance is not as good as that of 201J42.
