It is better to describe it more carefully. ASTM B161 publicly lists UNS N02200 and UNS N02201 for seamless nickel pipe and tube. Ni270 is commonly recognized as UNS N02270, so the safest commercial wording is to quote it by chemistry, dimensions, delivery condition, and inspection agreement.
2. Is N4 exactly the same as Ni270?
Not always. In some markets, N4 is used as a trade name and may be interpreted differently by different suppliers. Serious buyers should confirm the UNS number, chemical composition, and MTC rather than relying only on the trade name.
3. Is Ni270 suitable for high-temperature high-pressure structural piping?
