D7 Tool Steel is a high-carbon, high-chromium cold work tool steel known for its exceptional wear resistance and deep hardening properties. With a chromium content of approximately 12%, D7 delivers outstanding performance in severe cold working conditions such as blanking, punching, and shearing of hard materials. It achieves high hardness levels (up to 62 HRC) after heat treatment, maintaining stability even at elevated temperatures. Available in round bars, flat bars, and forged blocks, our D7 steel is ideal for tooling applications requiring extreme abrasion resistance.
